Emails from the meet

Many thanks to our meet hosts for putting on another great 300 meet. Interesting events, and I was surprised how interesting the Carrousel museum was.
Don Verity
Kudos to Ron, Bob, Dawn and Jamie for hosting a spectacular Fall Meet! Everything of the meet was Top Drawer! The Buffalo canal boat tour was very educational with a humorous guide, the Pierce Arrow museum was spectacular, the Carousel Museum was above and beyond all expectations especially riding on a carousel with club members of all ages, and a great experience on Goat Island visiting Niagara Falls!
The lunch and banquet venues were exquisite and the CDJR dealer hosted car show was spot on especially with the cloud white C picture hanging in the showroom! Don Verity’s technical brake presentation was most informative. Many thanks to Don for sharing his encyclopedic knowledge!
It was great to share in our 300 Club family reunion as always! Never dreamed that I would drive a Range Rover at a 300 Meet! Thank you for that experience Hank and Allison Hallowell! Forward looking to being together in Asheville! Bravo Zulu ( Well Done in Navy parlance) to our hosts!
300’ly, Rob Kern
I second Rob, he says it so well. I had to leave early, some personal issues, but great to see everyone…. Thank you to Bob and Jamie, this is never easy … and to Ron who did so much prep on the Buffalo end. I loved the history and the building design of the Carousel factory!
John Grady
Let me congratulate Ron, Bob, Dawn and Jamie for a wonderful meet. Kathy and I had a great time seeing the sights (had not been to Niagara Falls before) and meeting old friends again and also meeting some new ones.
The Pierce Arrow Museum was very interesting as I love to read and learn about those Classic cars like Pierce Arrow and Packard. Some of the best cars ever made during the depths of the depression.
Thank you again. Looking forward and hoping to make Asheville, N.C.

Sitting in the airport with my Aussie friends waiting to board our flight back to San Diego. We stayed an extra day to visit the Martin House and we had ideal weather today. 75 degrees with a nice breeze and fluffy clouds in the sky.
We all had a great time and more kudos to the guys for the hard work on the meet and events. I feel bad for those who missed the double decker bus tour on Sunday. We had a hilarious time and even "Chad" was a good sport about being put on the spot. Those who know, know.
The guys are dreaming about coming back for Asheville, so we'll see what happens.

We want to take a moment and second all of the comments related to the Buffalo Meet.
It was well planned, well executed and well attended event. Allison and I had a great time….the one important point I want to make is how lucky we are to have each other as friends and colleagues. The Lettercars are the catalyst but it’s the people and unique experiences that make the Meet so special…and for Ali & I, we so thoroughly enjoyed the Carousel Museum - something we had not expected to be so special - we also (surprisingly to us) loved getting soaked (twice) at Niagara Falls - it was just so much fun! Even our kids enjoyed laughing at us via videos we took.
It was just so much fun. Thank you so much to our meet hosts for putting it all together!
Hank & Allison Hallowell
We second the comments below from Allison and Hank.
We have a lot of opportunities to go to car meets in Europe, but it is meeting the nice and interesting 300 people that makes it worth taking the trip to the US.
Unfortunately, we missed our flight to Denmark due to delay from Buffalo, so after spending nearly 2 days in the different airports, we are finally back in Denmark, but that has not spoiled the overall experience and we hope to see you all again.
Dennis Nielsen and Allan Klotz
We are also sitting at the airport (O'Hare) waiting for our flight to LAX. Luckily made it home late last night to Chicago without a hiccup. Definitely worth the delay to share the bus with our 300 Club friends learning about Buffalo in a most hilarious way. Thanks Chad for taking the heat off of Matthew! Safe travels to the Australian contingent as they make their way home Down Under.
Sincere appreciation to Ron, Jamie, Dawn and Bob for putting this wonderful meet together. Even the weather behaved, so there were no washouts. Well done and thanks!
Certainly not enough time to spend with friends, but it is always so special to see familiar faces getting together for yet another promise of a coming adventure. I hope to see everyone again at the Asheville meet, where we will be cognizant of the 70 year anniversary of the B. Let's bring as many to Asheville as we can to celebrate the occasion!
Best to all, Mark, Pauline and Matthew Obermann
Thanks to Jamie, Dawn, Bob and Ron for hosting a fantastic meet, I enjoyed seeing old friends and made some new ones. All the events were great; I am so glad I stayed for the bus tour on Sunday it was very entertaining.

Many thanks to Jamie, Ron and Bob for putting together a wonderful meet. Several hiccups with the hotel but everything about the meet was great.
It was also great to see all the members that attended.

Echo station Dave & Kya reporting the same sentiments- thank you heaps to our meet hosts Ron, Jamie, Bob, and Dawn! Thank you Don for the center plane brake lesson, Gloria for coordinating the voting at the car show, Gary for bringing the club store and Noel who does so much behind the scenes. It was really great to spend time with our 300’ly friends especially after missing the last three meets!
Looking forward to seeing folks in Asheville,
Dave & Kya Mason
Hi all on behalf of myself, Brendan and Jett (Chad) I'd also like to chime in and give our thanks for a fantastic meet. A great time was had by all and we'll be back again soon. Excellent events and great to catch up with old friends and make new. Back in California now and have plenty to do before we head home on September 1st.
Thanks for having us :)
Mike VanDerVeen (Australia)
Echoing everyone's comments - our Buffalo Meet was a resounding success! All the events, and the feature unveiling of Joe Jordan's spectacular Andy Granatelli tribute twin-Paxton-supercharged 300-F, dressed in Daytona lettering on one side and Bonneville lettering on the other - our Best of Show winner! Our Thursday buffet lunch at the 100+ year old Chef's Restaurant was a culinary highlight, that included the most outstanding Italian tomato sauce and pasta ever - raving reviews commented by several of our members.
Thanks to Ron, Jamie, Dawn and Bob.
Noel Hastalis
I would like to repeat what Dave & Kya wrote regarding all the folks that contributed to the success of the meet. And thank you Don V. for telling me I have pre '59 brakes on my G!
I especially want to thank those that were judging my G especially Jamie having spent over an hour up and down and moving around underneath my car. Also for those that attended and "heard" the noise coming from my car, well it was the exhaust manifold gasket that gave way. I dropped it off Monday morning and I just brought it home from the shop and it sounds like new. See you all in NC.
