WELCOME TO MICHIGAN, 2005

A fabulous time was had by all who attended our 70th meet in Pontiac, MI. Yes, that's right, Pontiac. But during May 18 - 22, 2005, it was Chrysler 300 territory. Many members gathered for the club's spring meet, and there were many activities scheduled for all to enjoy. On Thursday night, the group gathered at the home of Ann and Ken Mack. Ken's great collection of cars was on display and we enjoyed the Mack's wonderful hospitality. A catered dinner was available for all to eat. Friday provided time for touring Greenfield Village, the Henry Ford Museum, and the Ford Rouge Plant. Saturday featured the car show at the Auburn Hills headquarters of DaimlerChrysler. The Walter P. Chrysler Museum was the featured attraction and the cars were on display in the area in front of the museum and in the adjacent parking lot. The banquet that evening had as its guest, Burt Bouwkamp, former Jefferson Assembly Plant chassis and powertrain engineer during the early years of the Chrysler 300. Accompanied by slides, he spoke about his involvement with Karl Kiekhaeffer during those years. It was a very interesting presentation.

Sit back now and enjoy a selection of pictures taken at the meet. The following contributed photos and we thank them for their interest and efforts: Bob Brown, David Clelland, Rick Ehrmann, Bonnie & Dave Geise, John Hertog, Rob Kern, Bob Merritt, Richard Osborne, John Rebolj, and Russ Vaughan.
