Emails from the meet

Kudos to Virginia and Randy Thorne for hosting a spectacular Fall meet in Fredericksburg! Everything was beyond expectations! The hotel was fabulous, the agenda with going through the National Museum of the Pacific War, touring the LBJ Park and Ranch, witnessing the Richard Atwell Car collection, driving through the Texas Hill Country not to mention dining on fine German cuisine, tasty box lunches and great BBQ all made this meet one that is to be fondly remembered! New members attended for the first time with great enthusiasm for hosting future meets. Several long time members reminisced about past meets. A fun time was had by all and it was great to be hosted for our car show at a venerable Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram dealer who fully appreciated the mission of our club. Crenwelge Motor Sales welcomed us with open arms! The location was superb, they set up a lovely refreshment table for us, gave us Jeep, Ram and dealer hats, provided a car wash venue and appeared to be thrilled to share in our Cub’s enthusiasm!
Thank you Virginia and Randy for bringing us to central Texas! Bravo Zulu in Navy parlance meaning WELL DONE!

I just wanted to give a shout out to Randy and Virginia Thorne for putting on a wonderful meet in the middle of Texas Hill Country! The National Museum of the Pacific War was mesmerizing and spending a full day there didn't even come close to being enough. The visit to the Texas Ranger Heritage Center, LBJ National Historic Park and incredible collection that Rickard Atwell so graciously opened for us to see filled the second day with many memories. Wednesday's car show at Crenwelge Motors with our 300s parked proudly in the front lot for all to see was a perfect setting to show the Beautiful Brutes to the public. All the cars were outstanding. Crenwelge really went out of their way to welcome everyone who attended. Thursday morning it all was over and many fond goodbyes were exchanged between members, new and old, of our 300 family that we look so forward to seeing again at the next Chrysler 300 Club International meet. Hope to see everyone in Kokomo in May, 2024.
Thanks again, Family Thorne, for a very special week!

Passing along my thanks to Randy and Virginia Thorne for hosting their wonderful Fredericksburg Meet! Longtime members and new members alike – forging new in-person relationships. We all had a great time enjoying the venues others have mentioned. A special thank-you also to Milton (2nd generation) and Jon (3rd generation) Crenwelge, owners of their Crenwelge CDJR dealership formed in 1940, who hosted our Car Show and supplied us endless drinks and snacks. Milton and Jon also connected us to Richard Atwell’s stunning collection of classics, including his ’53 Cunningham cabriolet and ’40 Chrysler Newport Phaeton 4-door convertible. Cross country trips like this, cruising together to and through the picturesque Texas Hill Country in our Letter Cars, was a special treat – 2,417 miles in my F and 2,969 miles in John Begian’s G, trouble-free, really connected us to our 300s and the joy of driving them as they’re all meant to be driven.
