F-G-H Turn Signal System
Restoration and Dyno Test 300K Engine
An old "tried and true" procedure handed down from mechanics of old....
Before installing a thermostat, insert an "Aspirin" tablet or equivalent in the thermo to hold the it open while filling the cooling system. This allows the trapped air to escape. Once filled, and you start the engine, the tablet slowly dissolves allowing the thermo to operate normally.
I found this trick especially useful on the 57-era style engines which have that horizontal bridge pipe between the cylinder heads...easy to trap air there.

We are looking for new technical articles. Please send whatever you think is helpful to bob@simplexco.com
