Club Events

Spring 2014. Celebrate the 50th birthday of the 300K with our annual spring meet June 11-14, 2014 in Uncasville, Connecticut.
Our location is close to New England attractions such as; Mohegan Sun Casino and shopping center, Nautilus Museum, Mystic Seaport & Aquarium and many more beautiful areas.
Our host hotel is the Microtel Inn & Suites, 1954 Norwich New London Turnpike (rte. 32), Uncasville, CT 06382. The hotel phone: 860-367-0880, the rate: $92.00 plus applicable taxes. Mention Chrysler 300 Club to get this rate. You can come early and stay late for this rate.

Future Meets:
Fall 2014 in the White Sands area of New Mexico. Hosted by Bill Allen, September 17 - 21, 2014 at the Fairfield Inn & Suites Alamogordo, 300 Panorama Boulevard, Alamogordo, New Mexico 88310. The White Sands Balloon Invitational will be early Saturday morning September 20th and early Sunday morning September 21st. We are planning dinner for everyone at our home, 86 Marble Canyon Drive, Thursday evening the 18th.
As we begin to finalize everything we will try to keep everybody informed. Thanks, Bill and Marilyn

An old "tried and true" procedure handed down from mechanics of old....
Before installing a thermostat, insert an "Aspirin" tablet or equivalent in the thermo to hold the it open while filling the cooling system. This allows the trapped air to escape. Once filled, and you start the engine, the tablet slowly dissolves allowing the thermo to operate normally.
I found this trick especially useful on the 57-era style engines which have that horizontal bridge pipe between the cylinder heads...easy to trap air there.
