I found that when I replaced the tires on my car, the new valve stems were too short to check the tires pressure when the hub caps were installed. I checked several places and the only size offered was 1-1/4 inch extensions, which was still too short. Finally I found these 2" size for about $3.00 a pack and all is well. They are Milton 454.

I had the same problem. My tire guy says that they don't stock (or can't get) the long valve stems anymore. A web search also lead me to Milton 454.
