Comparison of 1958
Chrysler Tail Light Housings

Terry McTaggart writes: "Interesting bit of trivia: On the 58 Chrysler, there is a slight, subtle difference between the left and right tail light metal castings. One has a slight ridge on the very top, while the other is smoothly rounded. Somebody in the shop that made the molds didn't follow the instructions exactly."
I thought I would investigate McTaggart's crease.
Here are the right and left tail light housings from a 58 Chrysler placed nose to nose. The driver side is on the left, the passenger side on the right.

Closer views of the upper sections of the housings show the crisper edge on the left piece (driver side) and the rounded edge on the right piece (passenger side).
