Emails from the meet
I want to thank our meet host Hank Hallowell for a fabulous time. I didn't get lost coming home and the "L" ran like a clock. Just 6-1/2 hours!
It was great to see all old friends and meet new ones. Let's hope we can do it again in Texas,
300"L"y to all of you.
Don Cole

We want to thank Hank Hallowell for a wonderfully run Hershey Spring Meet. Hank and the AACA Museum are a “class act.”
What a wonderful time!
Not only did we see the beautiful vehicles at the AACA Museum but many private collections including 3 of Hank’s facilities.
On Saturday, there was a huge lawn area that was stuffed with 300s as far as you could see including 6 cars from Hank’s personal collection.
Many thanks to all of the members of the Meet Committee for choosing and working with Hank and the AACA Museum to run a memorable Meet.
I saw many members that I have not seen in years.
Gotta love these people and this Club!
This Meet brings new meaning to our unofficial motto: We all come for the cars but stay for the people.
Tony Rinaldi
I also wanted to that Hank and all the members that made this great meet possible. And thank the AACA Museum for having us there, all the events were great, and seeing so many interesting vehicles in a beautiful town.

Bonnie and I had a terrific time at the Hershey Meet hosted by Hank Hallowell. Hank did a masterful job putting the meet together and organizing the activities. Way-ta-go! Hank!
We saw many old friends and really enjoyed making new friends too.
We arrived home safely and quickly and kept it under a hundred all the way. . .

I'm sorry to arrive only late Friday and be able to spend a short time but I did enjoy meeting many of you again and for the first time. My check is on its way as my contribution to the whole affair. I appreciate Hank and club leaderships hard work.
We had a 5 hour trip with a largely unproven B which ran flawlessly at ridiculous speeds as if posing as an Audi. On the way back everything went perfect until it didn't - roughly south of Pawling NY. Somewhere there, a great whaft of gasoline vapor assaulted us through the open cowl vent.
The rear carb sediment bowl cracked (from having been overtightened) and a fountain of gasoline pumped therefrom for several or more miles. At an safe place we pulled off to thank Mother Mopar with pounding hearts for wisely locating the generator on the other side.
Our ace on-board mechanic looked for items to repurpose for the length of fuel line needed to bypass the busted bowl. A grey Bic ballpoint pen shaft was used to bridge the existing line and that was enough to get us 7.1 miles to an auto parts store for rubber fuel line. We like to think we would have made it with the Bic pen. Incidentally-a 300 B in reasonable tune can run with anything on the average interstate and there are a lot of folks on I-81 yesterday who saw some white lightening. It's not how I drive mine but hey, we had a blast. Just like high school again.
Thanks and best wishes to all

Kudos to Hank for throwing a memorable party for our Club members in Hershey!
Where to start? - the AACA Museum tour, Hank's, Cal High's and Keith Miller's sweet car collections, and Mike Gardner's restoration shop - seeing the 1910 Otto (the only known Otto with its original engine) fire up for the first time in decades. Hank engaged Andrea of C and J Caterers to provide several truly delicious meals for our big group - Wednesday and Friday evening receptions, Thursday box lunches, our Banquet, Food Truck for our Saturday Car Show and Sunday morning Farewell Breakfast. The AACA Museum was a terrific venue.
Also, Thanks! to Hank for going the extra mile to bring not only his 6 Letter Cars - C coupe, G coupe and convertible, H coupe and convertible and L coupe - but also his '57 Firedome Sportsman, '61 Polara D500 crossram 4-door sedan, '61 Newport convertible, '73 Town & Country station wagon - all of these to help round out the Show Field. At least one of every year Letter Car was present.
Said our Good-Byes Saturday evening and rolled out of Hershey early Sunday morning - caravaned with John Begian and his G, Jim Krausmann and his C, and Bill Elder. Arrived home in Chicago uneventfully in my F, 12 hours later.

What a terrific Meet! ALL the I's dotted and the I's crossed. Hank exceeded any expectations, with large doses of personality. To top it off, Hank informed me he met me at his and my first Meet in Pennsville, NJ in 1980 and later at Don Rooks farm. He remembered my "L" and that made it special for me.
Thanks Hank for a spectacular time with great cars and a collection of old and new friends.
Ray and Jo Ann Jones

To pardon the pun, I think we can safely say that the Hershey Meet was one sweet treat for all who attended. Thanks go to Meet Host Hank Hallowell, and all who assisted him, for planning and organizing a wonderful Meet. Hank seemed to be everywhere throughout the Meet which made everyone feel welcome.
Thanks Hank, for a great Meet. You even managed to have good weather.

Hank,
Please also add us to the list of members who had a great time at your meet. Central PA was beautiful and all the cars were spectacular, and catching up with old friends and finding new friends is always the best part about our meets.
Having the museum next door with many activities there was very convenient. Thanks for all your good planning, hard work, and first-class hospitality.
Sincerely,
Barb and Carlton Schroeder
After been trying to come to the Spring Meet for 3 years it finally happened. It was an amazing experience. Thanks to all the nice people I (we) met. It was nice to get a face on the people I had followed on the chat forum.
A special thanks to Hank and all the people that has helped him to make this great event a memorable event, which I guess will be difficult to match at coming events.
Look forward to see you all again.
Allan Klotz (and Dennis)
Hank, thanks for all the planning and hard work that went into putting together this wonderful meet. The AACA Museum, the collections, the restoration shop, among all the things to do in the area, were first rate. I also think I had the best pot roast I can ever remember at the welcome meal. Thanks too to all of the people (Club members, AACA staff and others) who assisted in making the experience so excellent.
As always, it was nice to see everyone, catch up a bit and to spend time together as circumstances allowed. Thanks for that!
Mark Obermann
Kudos to ALLISON and HANK HALLOWELL for hosting a superb spring meet in Hershey! All the events were spectacular and the AACA Museum as a venue for the banquet, welcome dinner, business meeting and car show was fabulous! It was great to see many new and veteran club members for another reunion!
I want to express my gratitude to all the members and especially Hank for being 300 Angels to help me get my fractured alternator bracket situation resolved. Special thanks to the AACA Museum for providing the social events as a gift to our club. It was fitting for our Club of 53 years to be present to help celebrate the AACA 20th Anniversary!
As Bob Hope would say “Thanks for the Memories!”
300’ly, Rob Kern
