October 30, 1956. They tested the car at the Chelsea Proving Grounds.

November 3-7, 1956. They tested the car again.

By October 31st, the date of the memo, only three Cs had been built; the car in the picture had to be one of these three. Car #1 was a convertible. Car #2 was a white coupe with power steering, heater and radio. Car #3 was a desert beige coupe with radio and heater but without power steering. A radio antenna is visible in the picture -- could be car #2 or #3. If you enlarge the picture, the color of the car appears to be more desert beige than white, so I lean toward car #3. More, you would not want power steering if you wanted maximum speed, so it is a safe bet this was car #3.

In the next edition of the ENews we will have more on car #3.
