Chrysler 300 Club Fall Meet in Buffalo NY
August 13 - 17, 2025
Shuffle on over to Buffalo for the fall meet. We have a series of events scheduled that you will find interesting, plus the
debut of a unique 300F. Let's jump in.
If you have never been to Buffalo, you are in for a treat. When someone says "Buffalo", I think of Niagara Falls but it just so happens Buffalo is interesting by itself. Did you know Buffalo was home to several auto makers (Pierce Arrow and Thomas Motor Co and others)? How about Trico Wiper, Houdaille Shock, Harrison Radiator? They were there. Did you know Buffalo was the home for Wurlitzer organs and jukeboxes? Did you know Frank Lloyd Wright did work in the area, most of which was from the success of a soap company? The transportation industry, the railroads, steel mills, and aircraft are all part of Buffalo's rich history. Yessir, this city is worth a visit.
After the boat cruise we go a few blocks to Chef's restaurant for lunch. Our next stop is only a few blocks away at the Buffalo Transportation Pierce Arrow Museum where we will have a guided tour by James Sandaro. I doubt there is a man on the planet that knows more about Buffalo and the museum than James. This is a fantastic museum not only of Pierce Arrows, but of other car makers and associated auto industries from Buffalo. There is even a gas station designed by none other than Frank Lloyd Wright.
On Friday August 15th we visit the Herschell Carrousel Factory Museum for a fascinating glimpse at the workmanship that went into these merry-go-rounds. Hand carved horses and figures, Wurlitzer music. There is a boatload of history here. We follow this up with a lunch at the Hideaway Grille before the short drive to Niagara Falls State Park. Designed by Fredrick Law Olmsted, this park not only borders the Falls and the rapids, but has trails that provide respite and relaxation.
There is a trolley car that will take you anywhere you want to go; Maid of the Mist, Cave of the Winds, Prospect Point, Terrapin Point and more. Ron Klinczar worked on the design team for this park renovation and is excited to show you around.
Friday night Don Verity will have a seminar on center plane brakes.
Saturday August 16th we will have our car show at Transitowne Chrysler. They are only a few blocks from the hotel and the dealership has plans to provide an ice cream truck and maybe a food truck.
Our awards banquet later that day is an easy 15 minute drive from the hotel (even I won't get lost). We'll have more on our Saturday events as plans get firmed up.
Sunday August 17th we will have an option for those that want to stay a while longer.
At 9:00AM the Big Red Bus, a double decker tour bus, will take us on a narrated 2 hour tour of Buffalo. We toured Buffalo
by boat and saw it from the outside, now we tour it by bus and see it from the other side. The tour guide is known for his extensive and entertaining knowledge of Buffalo history.
What about the debut of a unique F? Joe Jordan built a replica of the 300F that Andy Granatelli took to the
Bonneville Salt Flats. Joe's car is complete with dual Paxton superchargers blowing
through long rams to an engine producing outrageous horsepower. Joe plans to take the 300F to the Bonneville Salt Flats and see what it will do. This meet will be the first time the car is on display.
