From Jamie Hyde on tach drive distributors: Bob, this information is from a vendor I met at Moparfest. I was informed that in Canada the 413 engine that was discontinued in 1965 here in the states, had continued on and was available in the Dodge/Fargo line of trucks. If you ordered a pickup in Canada I was told you could choose between the 413 or 440 and if you selected the 413 it came with the cast iron Prestolite distributor in single point configuration, but had the tach drive cap and lube cup on it. I purchased from that vendor what appears to be an almost NOS Prestolite for 25 dollars and he said that they are all over and easy to obtain at swap meets or wrecking yards. He had several on his bench at that time. So, if you have a worn out distributor and don't mind swapping a few parts such as the breaker plate, this might be a good option.

After looking for years for a 300 belt buckle, I made my own. The club store4209 has the "silver dollar Medallions". Three years ago we were in Estes Park, and at a store called "BUCKLES OF ESTES" I bought a blank silver dollar buckle. The medallion fit perfectly. After the Golden meet, we spent 2 days at Estes and I bought another buckle. They have 4 to 6 different blank buckles so a person can pick and choose for style. For anyone who wears a western type belt, it makes a nice addition. Bill Miller        (click the picture to enlarge)

Hi Bob;
This just occurred to me as I was reading the latest eNews. On the right (left) hand side, there are photos of club members. Many of us do not know who these folks are. This would be a good location to put these folks’ names, so we can learn who they are. I like the job you guys are doing with this new 300 Club publication. Ron Waters
I have now added names. Hover your cursor over the picture and the tag should appear.

Write us with whatever might be on your mind.
