News

*Our fifth edition of the 300 "e" news begins with a message from Jim Krausmann:

The club has lost a founding member, technical wizard and long time president Mr. George Riehl. As his daughter Laura said, he sometimes was larger than life. It is with fond memories and honor to both George and Eleanor that we carry on. Click here for a tribute to George and Eleanor.
Now I'd like to introduce and give credit to all the people that help run this club. Mike Burke, Gil Cunningham, and John Lazenby are your Board of Directors. For our club officers Brian Frank is returning as Secretary and Gloria Moon as Treasurer. Mick Kreszock is our new VP. I'm Jim Krausmann, club President. In addition we also have great people handling the various club committees. Ray Jones and Carlton Schroeder have the meet committee. Mick Kreszock and Doug Mayer are responsible for club apparel. Mike Burke, Jamie Hyde, Keith Boonstra and Herb Rogers handle the reproduction parts. Pete Fitch, Greg Leggatt, Larry Jett, Brian Frank and Bob Merritt are the constitution committee. Andy Mikonis heads up the Publications committee. Bob Merritt and Don Warnaar are the Electronic Communication committee. Gil Cunningham is the Concours committee.
As you've read, it takes a sizeable group of people to run the club. I think we have a great team here representing your interests in the club. Our phone numbers and email addresses are in the club roster. We are here to help you. Contact any of us if you have a question, comment or problem.

Heater valves need correct hose routing to operate properly. When hooked up incorrectly, heater valves will close at highway speeds. If you notice heat going away as you drive, check the hose routing.

Mauro Melo from Brazil writes: "My 300H needed a headlight switch. I used your parts list and much to my delight, NAPA had Part Number MPE HL6571SB. It works fine. Thanks for the list."
Jim Krausmann writes: "I had saved this link about C air filters.

Theory is when you know everything but nothing works.
Practice is when everything works but no one knows why.
Here, theory and practice are combined; nothing works and no one knows why.
