Chrysler Heritage: A Photographic History
by Michael W.R. Davis
Arcadia Publishing, 2001

This is a good review of Chrysler from its start
to the mid-1990s. There isn't a lot on Letter Cars but it has boatloads of photos, many I had not seen before. You can find it on Ebay, Amazon or used book stores.

In reply to the question on two and three step carb metering rods, the metering rods and piston covers tell you which is which. Flat covers are 2 step and the bulged covers are 3 step. See more here.

Matt was having trouble reassembling his steering column. He ended up making his own tool and got the snap ring to go into the groove. He says "Without the tool, it’s impossible, don’t know why the manual is vague on it."
We had had a discussion about this in ENews 62 and a similar home built tool.

Here's an article from decades ago of a C and an E involved in a crazy crash. This copy was in a notebook that our friend Daryl Miller had assembled of many copies of old 300 related articles, among other items. When I visited Rita last Friday, she brought out this notebook that I hadn't seen before. An interesting piece for sharing with our Club. Interesting also is the name Karamesines - likely closely related to the famed southside of Chicago NHRA drag racer Chris Karamesines.

I wanted to share a quick note with the club regarding a recent experience with Diamond Back Classics.
After some recommendations from some club members I ordered 4 235- 70x15 tires for my car 1964 K in late April. Due to life events I wasn't able to get them installed until July 8th. After getting back home, I noticed a minor defect in the whitewall on one of them. Unsure whether it happened during manufacturing, shipping, or installation I wasn't sure where to start. So I reached out to Diamond Back to see what if anything could be done but was expecting the worse especially since I had the tires since late April.
Without any hassle or hesitation, they replaced the tire no questions asked. Having worked in the retail industry since I was 16 (and still going at 70!), I know what good service looks like, and the level of care and customer relations they showed was truly beyond outstanding.
I thought I would pass along the recommendation in case any fellow club members are looking for a reliable source for classic tires. I've attached a picture showing the new tires and the 15' G wheel covers installed.

George Zuk says: If you ever need a steering wheel made like new again, Craft Customs did a great job and I highly recommend them. They did my G steering wheel. Delivery was 5 months. Craft Customs, 2000 E Buddy Ln Ste 500, Rockwall, TX 75032. 1-214-564-1170.

We have a new contact (Dan) at Inline Tube and he is right on top of things. I received brake lines on Thursday from a Monday order. They are perfect copies of the originals plus he sent mine back. Inline is also working on a few new projects for us. I'll keep you posted.
